ABT - Distance TLP Training Description

Distance TLP Provider Training offers a thorough self-paced, hands-on-learning experience with mentoring from a skilled professional. Your Mentor is an experienced TLP Provider who will provide support and guidance for your personal program experience, program implementation with your first three clients, and will assist you in preparing a client case study.

Learn how easy it is to develop individualized client programs with TLP Specialized CDs and Classic Kit with their unique, patent pending, ABC Modular Design™. Understand how to oversee home or facility-based listening. You will have the tools and knowledge you need to offer The Listening Program with the added confidence of having your Mentor behind you with every step.

Four Phases of Learning

Phase One: Self-Paced Study

The Trainee will utilize The Provider Training Resource Center Online, to address each area of study and learning objectives.

Phase Two: Personal Program Experience

The Trainee will experience TLP and utilize the many resources that are available for client support and monitoring. A Training Mentor will provide additional training and support.

Phase Three: Program Implementation

This phase focuses on listening schedule design and program implementation with support and additional training from the Training Mentor.

Phase Four: Case Study

Preparation of a written case study for one of the three clients demonstrates an understanding of TLP.

Who Should Attend

*Provider training is appropriate for professionals of all experience levels. Those with Graduate or Bachelor’s Degrees in the health, therapeutic, education, music, or related fields will receive the Authorized Provider designation. Authorized Providers have access to certain TLP CDs, and can consult and monitor client programs. Authorized Providers can complete the Provider Certification. Once the Certified Provider designation is awarded they will receive numerous benefits including advanced levels of TLP and access to training and licensing of the facility-based delivery of TLP with bone conduction.
