Becoming a TLP Provider

Becoming a TLP Provider will not only change how you practice, but you will achieve faster results and better outcomes with children, teens, adults and seniors.

This is a unique opportunity to provide those you serve with a safe, practical, drug-free and effective solution which easily integrates with the services you currently offer your clients.

The Listening Program® (TLP) is a music listening therapy, that provides engaging brain stimulation to improve performance in school, work and life. Systematic training is provided through listening to beautiful psychoacoustically modified classical music which trains the brain to process sound more efficiently.

Since the TLP listening equipment is portable and listening times range from just 15-30 minutes, it can be easily scheduled to fit into daily routines at home, in the classroom, hospital or even the workplace.

ABT offers several convenient training options for professionals to expand their practice and offer The Listening Program to their clients. Your training will give you the information you need to immediately apply The Listening Program method and individualize listening plans to meet specific client needs and goals.

Learning Objectives

By training in the practice of The Listening Program music listening therapy you will:

Learn the mechanisms of the auditory system and how it influences the brain to regulate attention, listening, learning, communication and behavior.
Understand and have direct experience with The Listening Program and other ABT programs.
Learn intake and monitoring practices that provide an understanding of your client's needs and that will guide individualized listening training.
Develop listening plans after viewing video case study presentations and reviewing client cases.
Gain the knowledge and understand the resources that will allow you to implement The Listening Program, ABT Bone Conduction System and other ABT programs for use in the home, school or professional practice immediately.
Become an ABT Certified Provider of The Listening Program.

3 Training Options

Choose from live courses held throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Israel, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.

At the live courses you will enjoy networking and interacting with other professionals, receive hands-on personal experience with ABT listening systems, be able to ask instructors questions, develop listening plans and benefit from a facilitated group learning experience.

You also have the option of enjoying the benefits of training in the convenience of your own home with the TLP Provider Online Certification Course.

Option 1- Live/Online

TLP Provider Certification Course Start-up
This is a two-phase course that includes a live one-day start-up course, which is followed by an online certification course.

Phase 1
This one-day course introduces The Listening Program (TLP). Following this course, you can order one TLP listening system and an ABT Bone Conduction System for personal use. This will allow you to begin working with TLP with yourself and your family as you complete Phase 2 of your certification training.

Phase 2
This comprehensive online course is included as part of your training and will prepare you to use all TLP listening systems with your clients including the ABT Bone Conduction System. You will have the information you need to immediately apply The Listening Program method and individualize listening plans to meet specific client needs and goals.

Completion of both training phases, results in recognition as an ABT Certified Provider of The Listening Program (ABT CP-TLP).

Option 2 - Live

TLP Provider Certification Course
This is a comprehensive three-day course. You will leave with the information you need to immediately apply The Listening Program method and individualize listening plans to meet specific client needs and goals. This all-inclusive course will prepare you to use all TLP listening systems with your clients including the ABT Bone Conduction System. An optional online review course is included as part of your training. Completion of this course, results in recognition as an ABT Certified Provider of The Listening Program (ABT CP-TLP).

Option 3 - Online

TLP Provider Online Certification Course
Becoming an ABT Certified Provider of The Listening Program is now easier than ever before. Enjoy the benefits of training in your own home; with no time off work, away from family or travel expenses.

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this self-paced 14-hour professional course will prepare you to immediately apply The Listening Program method into your practice and individualize listening plans to meet specific client needs and goals.

Completion of this course, results in recognition as an ABT Certified Provider of The Listening Program (ABT CP-TLP).

Continuing Education

Receive professional contact hours for completing a training course. ABT is an AOTA approved provider of continuing education. Other professionals may submit their course certificate to their state board.

Provider Credential Levels

The Listening Program® is made available exclusively through our international network of professionals, who have completed the training provided by Advanced Brain Technologies and have been designated as ABT providers.

The following are descriptions of the different provider credentials.

ABT Certified Provider of The Listening Program (ABT CP-TLP)

A qualified professional who has met the authorized provider requirements and requirements for TLP Provider Certification.

An ABT CP-TLP is qualified to offer TLP listening systems to their clients including the ABT Bone Conduction System.

Certified Providers must meet re-certification requirements every 3 years.

Prerequisites - ABT AP-TLP Credential

ABT Authorized Provider of The Listening Program (ABT AP-TLP)

A qualified professional that has completed a TLP Provider Certification Course, but has not completed the certification process.

An ABT AP-TLP can offer TLP listening systems, but not the ABT Bone Conduction System. In addition, they have signed our contract agreeing to our policies and quality standards.

Prerequisite - A qualified professional with a bachelor's or advanced degree in a health, therapeutic, education or music discipline. Certain exceptions are made on an individual basis for those who can demonstrate equivalent experience.
