TLP Provider Online Certification Course

The online course provides instruction to prepare you to offer ABT programs to your clients including The Listening Program® and ABT Bone Conduction System.

After you register for the online course, your account will be set up within 24 business hours. You will receive an email from us informing you on how to get started with your training. The presentations are multimedia with audio instruction, which is also available in text.

Completion of this course, results in recognition as an ABT Certified Provider of The Listening Program (ABT CP-TLP).

Learning Objectives

By training in the practice of The Listening Program music listening therapy you will:

• Learn the mechanisms of the auditory system and how it influences the brain to regulate attention, listening, learning, communication and behavior.
• Understand and have direct experience with The Listening Program and other ABT programs.
• Learn intake and monitoring practices that provide an understanding of your client's needs and that will guide individualized training.
• Develop listening plans after viewing video case study presentations and reviewing client cases.
• Gain the knowledge and understand the resources that will allow you to implement The Listening Program, ABT Bone Conduction System and other ABT programs into the home, school or professional practice immediately.
• Become an ABT Certified Provider of The Listening Program.

Time

14 hours, self-paced, to be completed within 60 days after registration.

Are you a professional that holds a bachelor's or advanced degree in a health, therapeutic, education or music discipline? Required Materials

• MS Windows or Apple Macintosh computer with broadband internet connection
• MS Internet Explorer 7.x or 8.x, Firefox 3.x or Chrome browsers are compatible. We do not recommend the use of Apple Safari browser for the Online Certification Course.
• Headphones - any model: however ABT approved are recommended and can be used with TLP listening systems after the course. Available through ABT.
• Computer printer is optional but recommended.

Continuing Education

Receive 14 professional contact hours or 1.4 AOTA CEUs. ABT is an AOTA approved provider of continuing education. Other professionals may submit your course certificate to your state board.
