"Several years ago my husband and I were searching for an alternative to Ritalin for our son who has ADD. Our son was experiencing appetite loss, weight loss, moodiness, sleeplessness and an inability to concentrate after 4 o'clock when his Ritalin wore off; our family life reflected this chaos. We were at the point where his Ritalin dosage would have to be increased to enable him to concentrate enough to complete his homework. Our HMO didn't offer us any treatment options other than Ritalin. We felt captive and very much controlled by our son's learning disorder. Does this sound familiar to you? Our search for an alternative to medication led us from our home in Minnesota to Dr. Minson in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Minson founded the Center for InnerChange, which has been instrumental in clinically treating ADD. Using Dr. Minson's treatment, our son, now completely off Ritalin, jumped one and a half year's worth of reading skill literally over the summer, as tested by our school district's special education department.
